Summary

We are looking for a talented and creative Remote WordPress Web Designer to join our team at Killerspots Agency. This is a 100% remote position—you can work from anywhere. In this role, you’ll be responsible for building and maintaining high-impact WordPress websites that not only look stunning but also drive meaningful results for our clients. You’ll work in a collaborative environment where your skills will help shape digital experiences for brands across the country.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain responsive WordPress websites that meet client goals and specifications.

  • Professionally collaborate with both clients and team members to deliver seamless user experiences, provide updates, gather feedback, and ensure expectations are exceeded—all in a remote work setting.

  • Implement custom themes and plugins to extend website functionality.

  • Optimize websites for performance, speed, accessibility, and SEO best practices.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve website issues quickly and efficiently.

  • Stay current with the latest industry trends, WordPress updates, and emerging technologies.

  • Translate client needs and ideas into visually appealing, conversion-focused web pages.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a WordPress Designer/Developer, with a strong portfolio of live sites.

  • Advanced knowledge of front-end technologies: HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and PHP.

  • Experience developing custom WordPress themes and plugins.

  • Familiarity with RESTful APIs and scalable system architecture.

  • Understanding of UI/UX principles and best practices for creating engaging digital experiences.

  • Knowledge of plugins

  • Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate professionally and effectively with both clients and internal teams.

  • Strong troubleshooting skills and keen attention to detail.

  • Ability to thrive and collaborate in a fully remote, fast-paced team environment.

  • Reliable internet connection and remote work setup.

  • Bonus: Experience with SEO optimization, Woo Commerce, or marketing automation integrations.

  • Bonus: Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.
